A Financial Health Check

“What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” – Napoleon Hill

It is good to do a financial health check. Financial health plays its part in the degree of health we enjoy, like all other areas in our lives. A good example of how this works is in how we take care of things in our lives.

A Metaphor of Overall Health

The condition of our houses, cars, and persons are an indicator of how well we are doing with our overall health. If our house is a mess and we can’t seem to get it under control, it is usually because we have a blockage—a congestion—in our system that is keeping us from optimal health. The house is simply a metaphor of the underlying problem. Financial health is the same way.

Take Time To Think

Since finances are important to our health, we should spend some time thinking about how we measure up in this area. What is our attitude toward money? What will make us successful in this area or not? Are we as balanced in this area of our health as in other areas?

A Rich Subject…

There has been much written about this. The two books that have been an inspiration to me are Napoleon Hill’s, How to Think and Grow Rich and George S. Clason’s, The Richest Man In Babylon. Of course, there are many have brought a wealth of understanding to this area, including Bob Proctor, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, among others.

…With Rich Rewards

After you’ve done a financial health check and your thoughts about money are right, then brainstorming about plans to achieve financial freedom is productive.  Take some time today to contemplate your financial health. Improving your health here can have dramatic effects on your overall health.  It will be time well spent.
